CEPS is a research group within the department of political science at the University of Gothenburg. We work with multidisciplinary social science studies of environmental policy and environmental problems (societal causes and effects). Environmental studies within political science has increased markedly the last ten years, and CEPS today comprises about 15 active researchers and PhD students that cover a large number of projects in several different areas.
Our research activities focus on various problems in the field of environmental politics and policy and we use a broad scope of methodological approaches. Examples of topics that we study includes sustainable development, climate change, environmental public opinion and management of natural resources such as fisheries, water and energy policy. More information about the people active within CEPS and our projects can be found on this website.
